WHAT IS STEPWISE YOUTH MINISTRY – S.W.Y.M?
Step Wise Youth Ministry is the vision of Nick & Sheila Court for the children and young people of Southern Africa. This vision was born out of spending nearly a year sharing the gospel with thousands of young people in Southern Africa through schools assemblies, weekly clubs in homes and churches and holiday bible clubs. Other exciting evangelistic opportunities include school Christian Unions, Prefects Training, school classrooms and camps.
WHAT ARE STEP WISE YOUTH MINISTRY AIMS?
There are many children in Southern Africa who have never heard about Jesus and His holy word. Our aim is to teach the youth and help them to know the Bible and Jesus Christ as the source of all knowledge and wisdom.
Step Wise Youth Ministry delights in sharing the gospel through regular school assemblies mainly in the townships schools and weekly bible clubs in homes and churches. Other significant evangelistic opportunities are through camps, holiday bible clubs, Christian union, teaching / training classes and correspondence courses.
Step Wise Youth Ministry will always be exploring new opportunities for outreach. There is a chance for you to develop your faith through short-term mission and get involved with particular projects that would enable you to use your own skills. Throughout South Africa there is a need for all kinds of projects, including gardening, home industries and crafts, building/construction, language, sports etc.
HOW IS STEP WISE YOUTH MINISTRY FINANCED?
Step Wise Youth Ministry is an independent charity based in the UK and South Africa. The Trustees are appointed to administer and govern the ministry. Step Wise Youth Ministry missionaries are committed to church membership in South Africa and are accountable for their ministry, spiritual growth and practice to the local receiving church as well as their sending churches.
Step Wise Youth Ministry is reliant on gifts from individuals and churches to cover the costs of the ministry. This includes vehicles, petrol and maintenance, teaching and bible correspondence materials, games, crafts and classroom equipment etc.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Pray for the Trustees and missionaries and ask God to give them wisdom in every area of governance.
